Latisse ®Want Longer Lashes? GROW THEM with Latisse®Latisse® solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (the condition of having inadequate or not enough eyelashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.
How does it work? Latisse® is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
How do I apply Latisse®? Latisse® solution is a once-a-day treatment you apply each evening to the base of the upper eyelashes. Do not apply in your eye or to the lower lid because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur. See the full instructions on how to apply in your Latisse® kit, and apply as instructed by your doctor.
How soon will I see results? Latisse® users may see results at 8 weeks with full results at 12 to 16 weeks. The growth is gradual, overnight, over time.
How can I get started with Latisse®? Simply call any of our three locations to schedule a Latisse® consultation. At this consultation we will determine if Latisse® is safe for you, and if so you will receive a prescription that you can fill right here in the office for your first Latisse® kit.
How long does one kit last? One Latisse® kit usually lasts about one month, if applied once before bedtime as directed.
Can anyone use Latisse®? You should not use Latisse® if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. Also, be sure to let us know at your consultation if any of the following apply to you:
Are there any possible side effects with Latisse®? The most common side effects after using Latisse® are eye itching or eye redness. These were reported by about 4% of patients in the clinical trials. Latisse® may cause other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where Latisse® is applied, or in the eyes. These include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness, or redness of the eyelids.
If you develop a new eye condition (for example, eye trauma), experience a sudden decrease in vision, or develop any reactions, be sure to give us a call at one of our three locations as soon as possible. |
